Our #1 recommendation for all of our couples is to choose a wedding engagement photoshoot location that is meaningful. Some place you both like to hang out, where you met, went to school, and things like that. Marissa and Max recently bought their first house together, so they pretty much nailed the meaningfullness aspect of choosing a location!
When we first arrived to their new home, we were greeted with tons of cool little decorations that really exemplified their personalities. The light coming through their kitchen was absolutely gorgeous, so we started the photoshoot there and captured some areas of the home where they spent the majority of their time. Marissa mentioned that Max reads books to her, and what's more romantic than Necromancer, a story about losing an arm and joining a group that advocates destruction of humanity?
We then went deep, DEEP into the woods behind their house, where we were greeted by no less than 10,000 mosquitoes (thank god for OFF! Deep Woods bug spray), but managed to come out with some amazing photographs, especially with the sunlight cutting through the trees.
Enjoy the photos from their shoot and we cannot wait to celebrate with these two in a few months and see one of our oldest friends get married! (We've known Marissa since high school!)
