On May 23, 2013, we photographed our second wedding ever. It was Caitlin and Scott, whom we met through a friend of a friend. They are incredibly awesome people, and we were so grateful to have been a part of their wedding day. Here's a photo of Caitlin and Scott with some of their friends on their wedding day -
Caitlin & Scott - 5.23.13 - Mahan's Lakeview - second wedding ever!!!
What we didn't know at the time was two of these people, whom just started dating around the time the picture was taken, would later be calling us to photograph their wedding two years later!
Having a prior relationship with people is a huge benefit when it comes to photographing a wedding. When we met Victoria and Adam two years ago, they were incredibly warm, friendly and easy going people. When we met with them again, we immediately reconnected and instantly knew we were a good fit for each other. They gave us 100% trust to "do our thing" (Adam's words) so we did!
We had only been at Madison Beach Hotel once earlier in the year for a Bar Mitzvah, but there was snow on the ground so we didn't get to experience it in its full grandeur. We were excited to be back during the summer to see one of the premiere wedding venues in Connecticut and it definitely did not disappoint.
Victoria got ready at the venue with the girls and Adam at a house nearby with the guys. Esteban took full advantage of the gorgeous window light and produced some stunning black and whites and Marc was able to incorporate the surrounding scenery into the guys' group shots to get the full beach effect. We all met at St. Mary's Church in Clinton, a beautiful little church where the two said their I Do's.
The party commenced back at Madison Beach Hotel, starting with some fun, windy formals on the beach (guess who was in the wedding party?!) We beat the rain and wrapped up formals, brought the party inside and let loose. Things got wild, clothes came off, and of course we got the pictures to prove it. We cannot thank Victoria and Adam enough for choosing us to capture their wedding day, and we wish them nothing but the best! Also, thank you again Caitlin and Scott for choosing us as well and recommending us!
