Take a moment and think about your grade school teachers. Some you may remember, some you may have forgotten. Some may have even impacted your lives in a way that still affect you to this day.
Mrs. Reilly was one of my (Marc's) teachers in 2nd grade. Every week we had a new student of the week, a randomly chosen classmate whose lives we basically honored for the week, culminating in a weekly Friday tradition of lining up in the front of the class, pretending to play harmonicas and singing to the same song every week - Dionne Warwick's That's What Friends Are For. She also had a thing for the Hibiscus tree, and every time I see one I think about 2nd grade and how awesome my teacher was.
This blog isn't about my awesome 2nd grade teacher, but the point that some teachers make huge differences in their student's lives. Allison and Dan are undoubtedly those teachers. They have such love, compassion, caring, and dedication to their students, and this was proven when we found out that they invited all of them to attend their wedding, sharing in this momentous occasion.
Their vows were shared at the beautiful Holy Family Church in Fairfield, followed by a huge battle between ourselves and every parent trying to get a picture of the entire class outside the church. We then took some awesome photographs at Ye Yacht Yard in Southport and proceeded to the reception at The Surf Club on the Sound In New Rochelle, NY. It was a nice change of pace from the Connecticut scenery.
We sincerely wish the best for Allison and Dan, their families, and of course their students, who may hopefully carry with them the unforgettable memories and lessons that these two wonderful teachers may share with them. And who knows, maybe ~20 years from now, one of their students will share some of their favorite childhood memories of Mr. Ebert or Mrs. Iannacone on their wedding photography blog.

In Their Own Words
From the first meeting with Esteban and Marc, we knew that we wanted them to capture our wedding. We were immediately impressed with their professionalism, friendly down to earth personalities, and impressive portfolio. We established a wonderful rapport with them during our engagement shoot and we were counting down the days to be able to hang out with them again. There wasn't a single photo from our engagement pictures or wedding photos that we aren’t in love with. We have been so honored to share the beautiful wedding album they created for us with our friends and family members. The photographs they captured of our wedding will be cherished. I can not speak highly enough of these two guys. Choosing Esteban Gil Photography was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning. You know you've found the right vendor, when you actually miss them after the event!
